An activist advocating for animal rights is confronting bullfighting outside Plaza Mexico in Mexico City, demanding an end to the practice in Mexico. In June 2022, Federal Judge Jonathan Bass granted a suspension of bullfighting following an injunction by the Just Justice civil association, which argued that the degrading treatment of bulls violates the right to a healthy environment.
