Strike And Protests For Public Schooling
Teachers, professors, and students are striking and taking to the streets in Toulouse, France, on February 1, 2024, against the new Minister of National Education, Amelie Oudea-Castera, due to the lack of resources for public schools. The protesters are demanding her resignation amid scandals involving her children's education at a private Catholic school that practices gender separation and allegations that one of her children bypassed the mandatory 'Parcours Sup' system for school admissions.
