Fat Thursday In Ruvo Di Puglia

Dancers are celebrating in traditional costumes in the historic center of Ruvo di Puglia on the occasion of Maundy Thursday, February 8, 2024. To mark Maundy Thursday and as the first event of Carnival, the Pro Loco of Ruvo di Puglia, with the support of the Municipality, is organizing the feast of the calzone di Ruvo. This long calzone, typical of Ruvo, is being prepared by local restaurateurs and is being carried, almost in a procession, from a well-known bakery to Menotti Garibaldi Square, where it is being tasted.
