Two Afghan clerics are leaving a seminary after a turban-wearing ceremony in the holy city of Qom, 145 km (90 miles) south of Tehran, on February 8, 2024. Qom, known as the religious capital of Iran, has played a pivotal role in the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
