Konark Sun Temple , Odisha.
Various carvings are being seen on the Konark Sun Temple in Konark, Odisha, on February 24, 2024. The Konark Sun Temple, a 13th-century CE temple dedicated to the Hindu Sun God Surya, is located about 35 kilometers northeast of Puri city on the coastline in Puri district, Odisha, India. The remaining structure of the temple complex resembles a 100-foot (30 m) high chariot with immense wheels and horses, all carved from stone. Although once over 200 feet high, much of the temple is now in ruins, particularly the large shikara tower over the sanctuary, which used to rise much higher than the mandapa that still stands.
