Chicken, Alleged Cause Of Guillain-Barré Syndrome In Mexico

Chickens are being sold at a market in Mexico City. The Ministry of Health of Tlaxcala, Mexico, is currently issuing an epidemiological alert due to an ''unusual increase'' in cases of Guillain Barre Syndrome in the state, which is allegedly caused by the consumption of contaminated chicken associated with the Campylobacter jejuni bacteria, a known cause of diarrheal diseases in humans.
