National Day Of Strikes And Protest In Public Education Sector

Nearly 6,000 people are demonstrating in Toulouse, France, on April 2, 2024, in a joint protest with all unions (CGT, SUD, SNES, UNSA, etc.) against what the French Prime Minister has termed the 'shock of knowledges', 'level groups', and the idea of mandatory uniforms up to university level. All unions have called for a day of strike and protest for better wages and to demand an end to what they describe as the dismantling of public education services, as well as for additional resources and teachers.
