Protest Of National Education Against Prime Minister Attal Projects
Schoolteachers and teachers are demonstrating in Toulouse, France, on April 22, 2024, in a joint protest with all unions, including CGT, SUD, SNES, FFSU, and FO, against the policies of French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. Attal has referred to these policies as the ''shock of knowledges,'' ''level groups,'' and the idea of mandatory uniforms up to university level. The banner reads ''No to the selecting of pupils.'' Unions have called for a day of strike and protest for better wages and are demanding an end to what they describe as the breaking of the public service of education, as well as for more resources and teachers.
