Forest Fire Ravages Parts Of Nepal With Onset Of Summer
Nepali firefighters are using water cannons to control a blaze that started in a local forest in the Lalitpur District of Central Nepal, on April 30, 2024. The hills surrounding the Kathmandu Valley are continuing to billow smoke as they are ravaged by the forest fire. Nepal is witnessing a rise in forest fire incidents this year, smothering the Air Quality Index (AQI). On average, Nepal records at least one thousand incidents of forest fire across the country.
