31-Year-Old Male Shot In Chicago Illinois As He Attempts To Stop A Robbery
Police are searching and canvassing the area for clues. A 31-year-old male is in critical condition after attempting to intervene and stop a robbery in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on May 17, 2024. At approximately 3:49 a.m., Friday morning outside of Estelle's Cafe and Lounge on the 2000 block of W. North Ave., a 33-year-old female and a 35-year-old female are standing outside when two suspects pull up in a vehicle and demand their property at gunpoint. A 31-year-old male attempts to intervene and he is shot, sustaining a gunshot wound to the torso. The suspects flee westbound on North Ave. in a Silver Sedan.
