On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:55 p.m., on the 5900 block of S. Western Ave., a 41-year-old female victim and a 42-year-old male victim are inside a vehicle traveling northbound on Western Ave. when an unknown male suspect standing near the sidewalk is showing a firearm and firing shots in the direction of the victim's vehicle. The 41-year-old female victim is being struck multiple times in the body by gunfire and is being transported to the hospital initially listed in good condition. The 42-year-old male victim is being struck multiple times in the body by gunfire and is being transported to the hospital initially listed in good condition. A 30-year-old male victim is self-transporting to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim is initially listed in good condition. A firearm is being recovered on the scene.
