Thailand Delegation Attends BRICS+ Membership Meeting In Russia
Mrs. Nalinee Thaweesin, Thailand Head of Foreign Affairs Working Committee and Thailand Trade Representative, is speaking at BRICS+. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Pheu Thai Party leader, is attending the political party contingent of the BRICS Plus (BRICS+) meeting, taking place from June 16-19, 2024, in Vladivostok, Russia. Ms. Paetongtarn is requesting support for Thailand's application to join BRICS as soon as possible, emphasizing the need for a more fair and equal voice for small and developing countries in global politics and that Thailand's leading role in building bridges (Bridge Builder) between governments and other groups of allied nations such as ACD, APEC, and BRI, will be beneficial to BRICS if Thailand becomes a member.
