Ancient Great Wall Digital Protection
Staff members of the Han Ming Great Wall Protection and Research Center are using a 3D digital platform on a computer to measure the Great Wall and the beacon tower in Zhangye, China, on June 27, 2024. In recent years, Shandan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is using remote sensing surveying and mapping technology and UAV oblique photography technology to carry out three-dimensional reconstruction of Xiakou Ancient City site and other Great Wall sites, and is setting up digital protection measures such as control network and three-dimensional system of remote sensing data display.
