The body length of a male is about 11.5 to 12.3 mm. They have an elongate, oval body with a black dorsum and light-colored ventrum, although some individuals are dark reddish-brown. The head is very closely and rugosely punctate anteriorly. A scavenger scarab beetle from this genus sits on a girl's hand in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on June 28, 2024.
