Tijuana Joins Mexico’s First Largest Boxing Class

Efren Ramirez Noriega, 28, (left), a multi-medal Mexican national winner and current Baja California state champion in pole vaulting, leads a group of young children and teens who are part of the Santa Fe neighborhood juvenile police academy during a large gathering of people on Revolution Avenue in downtown Tijuana, Mexico, on April 6, 2025, in a nationwide effort by Mexico. This event is their first largest boxing class, aiming for a World Guinness Record and is part of an outreach program by the federal government in drug prevention with recreational activities for young people and families.
