Preveli Beach In Crete Island

Tourists enjoy the summer sun at the sandy beach at Preveli, a popular tourist destination in the Mediterranean sea with the freshwater river, the palm tree forest and the entrance of the rocky gorge. The beach has crystal clear waters and is connected by a ferry boat to nearby town and beach. The famous palm tree forest has the native Phoenix theophrasti, the Cretan date palm honoring the ancient Greek philosopher and naturalist Thoephrastus.
