Former Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari Announces Return To Politics
Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli pays homage to the late CPN-UML leader, Madan Bhandari, during a ceremony in Kathmandu, Nepal, on June 28, 2025, where former President Bidhya Devi Bhandari announces her political comeback from CPN-UML, the largest communist party in the Nepal parliament. Former President Bhandari, also the former vice-chair of the UML, is twice elected President of the country. She is also the wife of the late Madan Bhandari, the UML general secretary credited with providing the ideological basis for the UML's entry into competitive parliamentary politics.
