In Gdansk, Poland, on September 1, 2025, Roman Rakowski, a retired commander of the Polish Navy, participates in a ceremony commemorating the 86th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II at the Monument to the Defenders of the Coast on Westerplatte. Westerplatte symbolizes the outbreak of World War II. The defense of the Military Transit Depot becomes a symbol of Polish resistance against the aggression of the Third Reich.
