Toulouse: Demonstration Against The French Government And Gaza

Riot policemen threaten gatherers with the use of police force at the beginning of the gathering for Gaza. CGT's unionists attempt to slow down riot police as the gathering is forbidden only one and a half hours before its beginning. Called by all trade unions united, thousands of people take to the streets in Toulouse, France, on September 10, against Macron's economic policies after a day called 'Bloquons tout' (Block everything). It is launched at the beginning of the summer on social networks against Macron's politics: downsizing the welfare state to cut taxes for businesses, increasing the Defense budget and Interior Ministry, and his choice of conservative Sebastien Lecornu as the new Prime Minister. His pro-business stance angers French people who blockade everywhere in France on September 10. A gathering and a march are authorized by the Prefect of Occitanie. The Prefect decides to forbid the gathering called by the CGT union and the march one and a half hours before the beginning.
