Last Supermoon Of The Year
The moon rises in the skies over Lisbon, Portugal, on December 5, 2025. Nature shows the last supermoon of the year, known as the Cold Supermoon. In its full phase and coinciding with the perigee, the satellite is located just 356,000 kilometers from Earth, appearing up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than a conventional full moon. This phenomenon, which closes a rare sequence of three consecutive supermoons, lights up the sky with an exceptional glow and marks the end of the 2025 astronomical calendar, becoming a unique spectacle that will not be repeated for years to come.
