Fighter jets fly in a Christmas tree formation over Copenhagen, Denmark, and the Oeresund region on December 16, 2025. The 21-aircraft formation consists of 17 JAS 39C/D Gripen fighter jets, reinforced by two Danish F-35A fighter jets and one Danish F-16A/M, as the Swedish Air Force's traditional Christmas flight passes over Copenhagen and continues toward southern Sweden. The Christmas tree formation is a long-standing Swedish military tradition, which extends to several Nordic countries following Sweden's entry into NATO.
