Round Tower Dome Lifted Down For Restoration

The three-ton copper dome atop Rundetaarn is lifted down by crane to allow new copper roofing to be installed in Copenhagen, Denmark, on January 12, 2026. After nearly 60 years of exposure to wind and weather, the observatory's copper roof begins to leak, making restoration of the dome necessary.
