In Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, India, on January 23, 2026, a man walks amid heavy snowfall in south Kashmir's Shopian district. Heavy snowfall hits across the Kashmir valley, forcing authorities to cancel flights at Srinagar airport. The highways and roads, particularly in the upper reaches and some areas of the plains, are also closed due to icy conditions and snow accumulation.
