FBI Evidence Response Team Processes Scene And Collects Evidence Following Discovery Of Suspicious Device On Odell Avenue In White Plains New York

On March 30, 2026, the White Plains Police Department responds to a possible transformer explosion in the area of Odell Avenue at approximately 4:28 AM. Units conduct checks of numerous transformers but find no evidence of damage. The situation changes at approximately 6:08 AM, when a White Plains police officer observes what appears to be a small explosive device near the doorway of an apartment building at 11 Odell Avenue. Additional units respond to establish a perimeter, and residents in the vicinity are instructed to shelter in place as a precautionary measure. The device is successfully secured.
