Buddha Purnima Festival Celebrated In Nepal

Dipankar Buddha is placed at the premises of Chiloncho Stupa during the celebration of the Buddha Purnima festival, marking the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha, in Chiloncho, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, on May 1, 2026. Buddhists around the world, including in Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Laos, Mongolia, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Nepal, observe the Buddha Purnima festival, which coincides with the full moon of the month.
