Anti-Drug Rally Held In Kashmir, India

Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, participates in an anti-drug rally in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on May 03, 2026. The rally is part of the 100-day ''Nasha Mukt (Drug-Free) Jammu and Kashmir'' campaign, which aims to address drug abuse in the Union Territory. The event is organized to raise awareness about drug abuse and encourage collective action against substance addiction. Official estimates suggest that more than 1.35 million people in Jammu and Kashmir are affected by substance dependence, with heroin being the most commonly abused drug, accounting for nearly 90-95% of addiction cases.
