India Mark's First Anniversary Of Operation Sindoor

An Indian paramilitary soldier patrols along the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on May 07, 2026. Security is tightened in Kashmir along the Line of Control between India and Pakistan as India marks the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor. On May 7, 2025, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, targeting sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The military operations were in response to an April 22, 2025, incident in Pahalgam, south Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweets on the X platform, acknowledging the Armed Forces' actions and encouraging citizens to honor the forces by updating social media display pictures.
