India Mark's First Anniversary Of Operation Sindoor

Security is heightened in Kashmir along the Line of Control between India and Pakistan as India marks the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor. On May 7, 2025, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, targeting sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The operation followed an April 22, 2025, militant attack in Pahalgam, south Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on the X platform, describing the Armed Forces' actions as displaying ''valour'' and providing a ''firm response'' to the attack, and encouraged citizens to honor the forces by updating social media display pictures.
