Haors Farmers Tragedy
Ripe and semi-ripe paddy fields, a major haor wetland in Netrokona, are completely submerged in Kalmakanda, Netrokona, Bangladesh, on May 5, 2026. Heavy rainfall between April 26 and May 2 has submerged 46,730 hectares, or 10.27 percent of the total haor land.
