Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park is photographed in Bryce City, Utah, on May 6, 2026. Located in southwestern Utah, the park features Bryce Canyon, a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The park is known for its hoodoos, geological structures formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of sedimentary rock. The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks offer distinctive views. Bryce Canyon National Park is smaller and at a higher elevation than nearby Zion National Park, with the rim varying from 8,000 to 9,000 feet (2,400 to 2,700 meters).
