Volunteers remove debris at Dovzhenko Film Studio in Kyiv

Volunteers clean the premises of the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio after a Russian military operation in Kyiv, Ukraine, on June 19, 2026. The studio sustained considerable damage during the large-scale missile and drone strike on the capital on June 15. The costume shop, which housed the largest and oldest costume collection in Ukraine, suffered the most destruction. Its storage contained around 100,000 costumes created for films across different decades, as well as approximately three million pieces of props. Other buildings of the film studio were also damaged.
