Zaporizhzhia under Russian guided bomb attack

Rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine use a crane and a ladder with a bucket to remove rubble at a five-storey apartment block hit by a guided aerial bomb in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, on July 19, 2026. In the evening, Russian forces launched two rounds of guided aerial bombs targeting residential quarters in several districts of the southeastern Ukrainian city. In total, 79 apartment blocks and more than 30 private houses were damaged. The five-storey building suffered significant destruction, with the bomb demolishing its two upper floors. As a result of the attack, three people, including an 11-year-old child and two women aged 71 and 72, were killed, while the number of injured rose to 41, including children.
