The main instrument of the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory

The building for the main instrument of the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, two-metre reflecting telescope in Pirqulu village, Azerbaijan on 26 September 2016. The instrument was produced in Germany. It was installed in 1964 and become the first telescope of the South Caucasus. The first observation with the telescope was made in 1966.
