New Year's Eve in Softex refugee camp
Refugees in the Softex refugee camp, outskirts of Thessaloniki, Greece, on 31 December 2016, gather in small groups to celebrate the new Year's Eve. This is a group of refugee from Syria, they are Kurdish stuck in Greece and facing a very cold winter. After counting down for the new year they went and watched the fireworks from the city. This group or refugees arrived in Greece a few weeks ago from the landborders with Turkey, crossing a deadly river.
