National Flag Day in Krakow
Rafal Sonik, a Polish quad rally driver, arrives to Krakow's Main Square for Poland's Flag Day celebration. Flag Day was introduced to Poland in 2004, bridging the gap between International Workers' Day on 1st May and Constitution Day on 3rd May. Today, hundreds of different events were organise across the country, one of them, the 'White and Red relay RMF FM'. At 6 am, the relay carrying the Polish flag left Hel, in the North of Poland, with the flag arriving by boat in Sopot, and then from Gdansk to Warsaw by plane. In the capital, the main point of the program, was a relay of politicians. Another stop was Krakow, where the flag reached the Pendolino by train and driven by Rafal Sonik on Kosciuszko Mound. Finally, the last stop was Zakopane, from where the white and red flag was carried up Mount Giewont, arriving at the peak at about 20:30. On Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in Krakow, Poland.
