National Flag Day in Krakow
A lady carrying Polish flags and small cakes with Polish flags on Poland's Flag Day. Flag Day was introduced to Poland in 2004, bridging the gap between International Workers' Day on 1st May and Constitution Day on 3rd May. Today, hundreds of different events were organise across the copuntry, one of them, the 'White and Red relay RMF FM'. At 6 am, the white and red flag relay left Hel in the North of Poland with the flag arriving by boat in Sopot, and then by plane in Warsaw. There in the capital, the main point of the program, was a relay of politicians. Another stop was Krakow, where the flag reached the Pendolino by train and driven by Rafal Sonik on Kosciuszko Mound. Finally, the last stop was Zakopane, from where the white and red flag was carried up Mount Giewon, arriving at the peak at about 20:30. On Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in Krakow, Poland.
