For the centenary of the Armistice of the First World War, Paris’ Mayor Anne Hidalgo (C) lays some flowers in front of Paris city hall, assisted by children. 94,415 flowers colored like the French flag will have been set in front of Paris city hall as part of commemorations marking the 100th anniversary of the 11 November 1918 armistice, ending World War I.. Visible on Saturday November 10 and Sunday 11, 2018, these pansies and primroses are a tribute to the 94, 415 Parisians who died during the First world War.Their names were displayed on giant screens while the façade of the city hall will be lit in blue, white and red on the occasion.
