Views Of Berlin
Potsdamer Platz is today an important residential, commercial and tourist centre of Berlin and its history reflects the vicissitudes of the city. At the beginning of the 20th century this square was the busiest intersection in Europe, where cars, carriages, trams and bicycles converged; in fact, this area more than a square has always been a great crossroads where 5 main roads converge. The need to manage heavy traffic gave rise in 1924 to the installation in Potsdamer Platz of the first traffic light in Europe. July 18, 2019 in Berlin, Germany. and is also a popular tourist destination. (Photo by Andrea Ronchini/NurPhoto)
