Historic Heat Wave Day In Paris

Many people of all ages bathe in the Fountain of the Trocadero and its immense jet of water to cool down with the Eiffel Tower in the background as a landscape as Paris and all of France go through their second heat wave since the beginning of summer, this day of July 25, 2019 has become historic by beating the heat record set in the capital in 1947 by the new temperature of 42.6°C. Faced with the stifling heat of the city, many Parisians and tourists refreshed themselves at the Trocadero fountain where they could swim and relax in the cool. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
