Historic Heat Wave Day In Paris
A man in a bathing suit squats down by the Trocadero fountain to cool down in the foreground while a family group stands in the shade of the pool as Paris and France as a whole go through their second heat wave since the beginning of summer, this day of July 25, 2019 has become historic by breaking the heat record set in the capital in 1947 by the new temperature of 42.6°C. Faced with the stifling heat of the city, many Parisians and tourists refreshed themselves at the Trocadero fountain where they could swim and relax in the cool. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
