Kelso Ram Sale
Farmers buy and sell rams during the Kelso Ram sale on September 13, 2019 in Springwood park, Kelso, Scotland. The Kelso Ram sale is the largest one day sale of Rams in Europe, between five and six hundred consignors expected to be attending the event. 5,174 Rams will be sold today and last year's sale total reached over two million nine hundred thousand pounds, with an average sale of £681 per ram. The sales were established in 1838 and has only been cancelled on two occasions, in 2001 and 2007 both times as a result of an outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease. (Photo by Ewan Bootman/NurPhoto)
