Carnivals In Unanu

'Mamuxarro' figure with iron mask and sticks during the ancestral carnival on February 25, 2020 in the village of Unanu in Navarra province, Spain. The ''Mamuxarroak'' (its translation is: ''the whippers'') are the main characters of the celebration. These characters use hazelnut sticks (ziyorra) to scare women and children and also use them to awaken fertility. (Photo by Iranzu Larrasoana Oneca/NurPhoto)
