Overturned Cargo Ship Soon To Be Removed From Georgia Waterway
Salvage workers are seen standing on the Golden Ray cargo ship on February 27, 2020 from Jekyll Island, Georgia. In about a month, a salvage company will begin cutting the vessel into eight segments which can be lifted out of the water and removed by a barge. The vehicle carrier, loaded with 4200 new cars, capsized in St. Simons Island Sound on September 8, 2019 as it was leaving the Port of Brunswick. (Photo by Paul Hennessy/NurPhoto)
