Liberation Day Celebrations In Bologna
An policeman holds up the banners of the city of Bologna in front of the monument to the fallen partisans of the Resistance movement (the clandestine fighters who faught the occupying nazi troops at the end of WWII) in Bologna, Italy, on April 25th 2020. The celebrations for the 75th anniversary of Italy's Liberation from fascism are different from those of the previous years. For the first time in history, Italy cannot celebrate its April 25th with demonstrations in the streets because of the lockdown to contain the coronavirus (covid-19) outbreak. The population has been invited to stay at home and to watch the celebrations on TV or via streaming. (Photo by Marco Panzetti/NurPhoto)
