75th Anniversary Of Sachsenhausen, Dachau And Ravensbruck Liberation
Jan Duda seen during a laying of the wreath at the 'Liberty Oak' outside the Collegium Novum, as part the ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the former Nazi German concentration and extermination camps in Sachsenhausen, Dachau and Ravensbruck. The initiative to celebrate this mass came from the associations of the last prisoners and their families (Ne Cedat Academia and the Ravensbruck Family) after the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the camps in Germany were canceled by the German side. The ceremony was attended by the last surviving prisoners of these camps: Dr Wanda Poltawska and Major Stanislaw Szuro. On Thursday, April 30, 2020, Krakow, Poland. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
