Vandalized Stateus in Brussels, Belgium
Belgian soldier and explorer Émile Storms was vandelazed last week in Brussels - Belgium on 22 June 2020. Émile Storms is know in establishing a European presence in Congo which he supported the White Fathers missionaries and attempted to suppress the East African slave trade. Protest and demonstrations against racism have been raging worldwide since the death of American George Floyd. Due to the increasing awareness of colonialism in Belgium municipalities and mayors will decide what to do with King Leopold II statues and names related to colonial Congo.
