Mars Mira 2020 - 25th Anniversary Of The Srebrenica Genocide
Hazim is one of the organizers of the Mars Mira sits near tombstones of his relatives, at the Potocari memorial cemetery, a village just outside Srebrenica on July 10, 2020. At the end of the march he went to visit the grave of his uncle who died during the genocide in 1995. The Mars Mira (Peace March) is a walk that since 2005 has been organized annually between July 8 and 10 in memory of the victims of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide. During the three days in which the march takes place, the participants walk by road and, above all, by steep mountains, the distance that connects the towns of Nezuk and Potocari, where the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial Cemetery is located.
