The Co-Operative Annual General Meeting
Hazel Blears, a former Labour Party member, leaving the Co-Operative Group's annual general meeting in central Manchester on Saturday 16th May 2015. -- The Co-Operative annual general meeting, which took place in Manchester on Satuday 16th May 2015, decided to maintain the donations to the Labour Party and the Co-Operative Party. The decision was made by people voting, by the group's membership. At the vote, 55% of the group's membership decided to continue to 'approve political expenditures, not to exceed £1 million per annum, that support the objectives of the co-operative movement' according to an official Co-Op Group statement. A series of other decisions were made, but opposition to directors pay was also discussed at the annual general meeting which took place at the Manchester Central conference in central Manchester.
