Aircraft Landing At Thessaloniki Makedonia International Airport

Aegean Airlines Airbus A320 aircraft flying over Thessaloniki city for landing, arriving from Mytilene Lesbos island. The plane has the registration SX-DVY. The aircraft is flying on final approach for landing at Thessaloniki Makedonia International Airport SKG LGTS in Greece, over the city of Thessaloniki or Salonica with blue sky in the background. Thessaloniki is a popular tourist destination specially during summertime with the amazing sandy beaches and transparent crystal clear sea water of Halkdiki and Pieria Katerini nearby combined with nature and the mountains. The Greek authorities lifted the Covid-19 Coronavirus lockdown measures and allowed the first wave of tourists to mainland airport at 15 of June and then since July 1 with direct flights to the islands, but to specific countries with low pandemic cases. The tourism industry is one of the main income sources for the country so Greece started easing the measures trying to keep up the safety protocols in order to relaunch and boost the tourism season.
