Partial Lockdown Announced In Poland

The Prime Minister's office on Wednesday announced further restrictions amounting to a partial lockdown to prevent further spread of the coronavirus. Shopping malls, elementary schools and cultural institutions will be forced to close for two weeks starting this Saturday. Daily cases have been rising sharply in recent weeks despite restaurants and bars having been closed and air travel restricted. Hospitals across the country have been overwhelmed with new cases and in some cases have had to refuse patients.
